I'm waiting for a gel to run all the way out, and it's taking forever. SwingMonkey is boring today, so instead of reading The Gravedigger's Cottage, like I should be doing in lab (I'm on page 142, never fear!), I'm checking out what's going on in the world.

CNN tells me that Scott Peterson got the death sentence, and Laci's family is super happy about that. It's too bad they changed the photos in this story though. Originally, they had a picture of Scott up. (This is the first time I've seen a picture of him. Yes, I live in a hole, but it's a hole full of dancing.) My first thought was, "gee, he's cute." Is that bad?

CNN also tells me that there's a third grader in North Dakota who rides a mule to school every day. This is appropriately in the Offbeat news section. But it's also filed under "Education". Hmm. Well, I suppose so.

And in an inevitably depressing end to our travels through CNN, we find that if we ever wanted to visit Alaska, we should do so before it is destroyed.

  1. For anyone who cares about the Alaskan wilderness, it's really easy to write your senators and representative to let them know you care. (Thanks, Meera!) If you don't care, read the end of today's BlogPulse highlights.
