Giant Microbes

Did I blog about this yet? A few months ago, Susan got us each a stuffed yeast. It's very cute, with bud scars and everything. It even has eyes with eyelids (just like any single-celled eukaryote would), for a cue as to which directionis up (as if yeast had directionality).

But there's more! My favorites are the calamities collection. Note that the flesh-eating virus has a knife and fork, while the sleeping sickness (trypanosoma) has its eyes closed.

Also, don't miss the venerials!

  1. The page won't load for me! I'm so sad -- I want to see the cuteness of the giant stuffed microbes!
