Dear K (who's in boot camp and doesn't get much in the way of news),
...Well, last week was our first snowstorm of the season. We only got a foot and a half in New Haven, but Boston got hit pretty hard. I've heard talk of five feet plus some, but nobody knows for sure, as the storm knocked out power and communications all over the northeast. The news is presuming that most people are snowed in, which I'd say is a pretty good guess. The plows should get there next Thursday; FEMA visited only six days after it stopped snowing. It's actually probably a good thing all those people are stuck inside and isolated, since they found a few cases of bird flu in Philly. It's supposedly spreading pretty fast. I haven't gotten it yet, though.
Hmm, what else? Matthew McConnahey was chosen as People Magazine's sexiest man alive. (This one is actually true.) Next year, I bet it'll be Brad Pitt or something. People are getting really predictable. On, that reminds me: the word on the street is that Cali has recalled the governator, and there's going to be another recall election. This time, I'm voting for Puff Daddy.
