Election confession
I have to make a confession regarding yesterday's election. I voted absentee (as usual), but made a mistake on my ballot. I accidentally voted for the ballot measure to require minors to have parental permission and a waiting period before terminating a pregnancy. In my opinion, this was the worst mistake I could have made on the ballot. I wouldn't have minded so much voting no to the cigarette tax initiative, though that was passed by a narrow margin (86). But now that the election is over, I can proudly say that my mistake vote did not matter. The good people of California have voted (85), and they want minors to get the abortions they so desperately need.

Despite closely following the elections, I did not vote. Which is bad, I know. Things always seem less dire as a Democrat from Massachusetts. Go figure ;)
