Palin on SNL

Apparently everyone watched Sarah Palin's guest spot on SNL this weekend. If you didn't, you can watch clips or read a summary.

It's not that great. The only reason I bring it up is that in the summary (linked above), she gave this quote (bold is my own addition):
On Thursday, Ms. Palin said she wanted to do the show to prove to “American television watchers” that she has a sense of humor. “Or even just this really would be wearing, tearing on you,” Ms. Palin said. “So an opportunity to show that sense of humor, and that side of all of this, I look forward to it.”
Is she still not using complete sentences? She seemed to do pretty well with the cue cards in the sketch, even acting a bit. Hmm...

Tina Fey was great though. Besides her performance, she was quoted in the same article:
“I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5,” Ms. Fey said recently. “So if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me.”

  1. I have no idea what that bolded sentence could possibly mean. Or even what general topic it's about.

It's really her blithe massacre of language that makes me feel the most contempt for her. It also makes me convinced that the thoughts that go through her brain are similarly incomprehensible.

  2. This does not really have anything to do with your post. I can't stand Palin and would be scared if she were elected to be a heart beat away.
Anyway, Sam just saw your blog and said, "Dat a cool beach, wike camp"
and kept making me scroll down so he could see all the people. LOL
