West Hartford Community Theater

Bruce and I went to see The Music Man last night. It was the first ever performance by the West Hartford Community Theater. It wasn't quite Broadway, but as far as community theater goes, it was a great performance. They obviously put a lot of work and dedication into the production. I could nit pick about the mics not always being on when they should be, or Professor Harold Hill not having much rhythm (which is SO important for The Music Man). Or I could laud the dancers for their enthusiasm, Marian for her voice, or the piano and the rest of the orchestra. But really, THERE WAS AN ORCHESTRA. There were at least 50 people in the cast. There was a sound system loud enough for the auditorium. They filled the large auditorium. It was a success. I'm looking forward to their next performance.
