Not as good as I'd expected. Mia has synesthesia, a superpower in which letters, numbers, and sounds evoke visual cues such as colors and shapes. At first she thinks she's a freak, but when she learns more about the condition, she gets really self-involved. I didn't really like the character, even before she was annoyingly introspective, and I don't know if she really came out of the situation any better than she started out. It's really only interesting as a synesthesia case study.
