The New Kings of Nonfiction by Ira Glass
rating: 4 of 5 stars
Great stories. They're actually probably better characterized as journalism (a reporter reporting on something) except often the reporter includes more reflection than a typical news or feature article. They were all very well written. I even enjoyed the one about Saddam Hussein. But I did notice the set of authors is very male-dominated and so is the subject matter (war, gambling). I think I would have liked it more if there were more women authors. Also, many of the stories are out-dated (eg. Saddam is referred to as still alive).
