The Help by Kathryn Stockett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It's like an Oprah book without the dying or abuse. It's mostly light, funny, touching, and all-around good.
Told from the point of view of three women in Mississippi in 1962, it's about the similarities between rich white women and the black help who run their houses. Two of the women are the help, the third is a white aspiring writer who wants to give them a voice.
