The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book read like a movie. It fits perfectly into that Mystic River, dark murder crime drama genre. But that's more of the language and the way it's written than it is the story. The story is about the family of a girl who was murdered, and how they cope with it. I kept waiting for the action, for the murderer to get caught or killed, or at least to strike again, but... I was disappointed. The closure was not from nabbing the bad guy, it was from her family finally being able to let go.
